Film Production

How does a film production actually work?

For a basic understanding, it is important to know that a professional film production is basically divided into three different phases.
Before the actual video shoot, the so-called pre-production is the first decisive step in a film production. This generally involves clarifying content and organisational matters, which are then implemented in the second step, i.e. the actual video shoot. A precise analysis ensures better results. Even if you want to remain spontaneous and flexible during the shoot, there is a clear advantage to structuring the shooting process in advance. Adjustments are always possible and yet the tasks are clearly distributed and understandable for all involved. It is also important to think in advance about the message you want to convey to the audience. Even with the right film technique, you can create significant emotions.
The third and last phase is the so-called post-production, which will be explained in more detail later on, as it is very extensively composed.

Since a professional film production is not only very elaborate, but also involves many challenges, you should definitely turn to a professional when planning it. And this is where we come in. Our core competence lies precisely in planning and implementing these steps together with you, so that in the end the result you want is achieved. Outstanding quality is what we demand of every film production we have successfully made internationally. We want to inspire with film and according to this philosophy we are happy to work for you and your message.

What do you have to look out for in a film production?

Since it should already be clear that such a process is not exactly easy, it is logical to pay attention to a number of things. Having a professional partner at your side can often mean relief in the planning alone. Particular attention should be paid to the pre-production of a film. Here, not only important things like the sequence of events or, of course, the content are clarified, but also what style the film should have in the end. So this phase is about precise planning and structure. This requires not only good communication, but also a deep understanding of technical implementation. It makes sense to create a storyboard at this point. Here, framework conditions such as film length, possible film locations and also the number of actors (if necessary) are determined and sketched out. It should also be clarified at what time the film will be shot, as lighting conditions, for example, play an important role here. Once these basic questions have been clarified, a shooting schedule is drawn up so that in the end the project is already completed, at least in theory. Detailed structuring leads to considerable time savings during the shoot itself. So it is clear that it makes sense to invest time and energy in pre-production, because this means that a major step in a film production has already been successfully mastered.

How does the video shoot work in a film production ?

The actual video shoot is less demanding in comparison, as it can be completed in as little as 1-3 working days with a good and well thought-out pre-production (depending on the size of the project). However, this step should not be underestimated. The video shoot itself, depending on the production, can be the most expensive. The simple reason for this is that the previously mentioned preparations and the greatest technical effort are concentrated on this time. Of course, it also depends on how large the film crew has to be on location. In other words, whether it needs actors or whether it is purely product shots, for example. Therefore, especially for cost reasons, it is essential to put a lot of time and energy into pre-production, as a well thought-out and planned video shoot is not only faster, but also more efficient. With our help, you will not only have the necessary support to approach the pre-production in a sensible and well thought-out way, but you will also have the necessary professionals at hand to make a video shoot as efficient as possible. We pay attention to good quality and have already been able to gather a lot of experience, so we are happy to put this and our knowledge at your disposal.
